School Uniform

Children are expected to be clean, neat and tidy in their ppearance.

• Correct uniform is to be worn to and from school
• All items of clothing and personal belongings should be clearly marked with the student's name
• School hats are to be worn at all times. The “no hat, no play” policy is strictly enforced.
• Long/shoulder length hair must be tied back using ribbon/bands in school colours only
• The wearing of any jewellery, other than a watch, is not permitted. Make-up, nail polish and platform shoes are also not permitted. For safety reasons, if children have pierced ears they are only permitted to wear a stud or very small sleepers.

Enrolment at St Anthony's indicates that each child will abide strictly with our school's dress code. This code dictates that each child will wear full and correct uniform to school each day. The only exceptions to this are when the school holds an “out of uniform” or “tombola ” day for fundraising purposes. Parents are asked to strongly support this rule, making sure that shoes are of the correct type and kept clean, and that sloppy joes are not faded or worn.

Children are generally expected to wear their full school uniform for three days per week and their sports uniform two days per week. This may be amended according to a particular grade's programming and timetabling needs for sport and gymnastics. The Physical Education program requires some sporting activity every day so older children should bring their gym shoes in their school bags and wear the correct shoes to and from school. At times children are asked to bring in football boots, mouth guards etc for sports teams. These should be kept in separate bags.

ACCESSORIES: Hair ribbons/bands (in school colours) should be used to tie back hair.

Clothing Pool

The P & F operates a second hand clothing pool. The clothing pool is opened one Thursday night 6.30-7.30pm and one Friday morning 8.15am-9.00am every fortnight. The dates will be on the school calendar and in the window of the Clothing Pool. Variations to these times and other news will be advertised in the school newsletter.
